Do you dream of turning your passion for diving into your career? Do you want to guide others through the amazing underwater world and elevate your diving skills to the next level? Then it’s time to take the leap and become an SSI Divemaster at Wanderlust Dive Center in beautiful Bonaire.

What is an SSI Divemaster?

An SSI Divemaster is a certified dive professional who plays a key role in the diving industry. As a Divemaster, you are responsible for guiding and assisting divers during their underwater adventures. You ensure diver safety, lead guided dives, assist in the training of new divers, and support dive activities. Additionally, you are an ambassador of the sport, inspiring others and sharing your passion for the underwater world. It is the first level of the SSI Pro ladder.

A Day in the Life of a Divemaster

No day is the same as an SSI Divemaster. You start the day early, greet your divers, and help them prepare their gear. Together, you explore Bonaire’s most beautiful dive sites, such as the East Coast with its impressive coral reefs and abundant marine life. Between dives, you offer valuable tips and ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. You end the day by logging dives and sharing the best underwater experiences.

Additionally, you assist at the dive shop, fill tanks, advise shop customers, and help instructors with entry-level and advanced dive courses.
