The SSI Marine Guide Recognition Rating celebrates SSI Professionals who lead by example in marine conservation and ocean education.
This recognition is awarded to active Dive Guides, Divemasters, and higher-level professionals who complete the SSI Marine Ecology course plus four additional Ecology Specialties — such as Shark Ecology, Sea Turtle Ecology, Fish Identification, Coral Identification, or Manta & Ray Ecology.

This program connects directly to the SSI Blue Oceans initiative — a global movement dedicated to protecting our planet’s marine environments. All ecology courses can be completed online via the MySSI app, followed by hands-on workshops and guided dives led by our marine ecology specialists.
