Overview

The SSI Search & Recovery Specialty trains you to plan and execute organized underwater searches and object retrievals.
You’ll practice search patterns, use of lines and reels, lift-bag techniques, and problem-solving during limited-visibility dives.

This course is ideal for divers who enjoy mission-oriented diving, underwater maintenance, or assisting with lost-item recoveries.
It builds teamwork, navigation, and practical problem-solving — skills that are also valuable for professional and rescue divers.
