Rental Policy

This Rental Policy applies to all scuba and snorkel equipment rentals provided by Wanderlust Dive Center B.V. By renting equipment, the renter agrees to this policy, our Terms & Conditions and our Liability Waiver.
- Equipment Available for Rental
Wanderlust Dive Center rents the following items:
- Full scuba gear sets
- Regulators
- BCDs
- Dive computers
- Wetsuits and shorties
- Masks, snorkels and fins
- Dive lights
- Tanks (air / Nitrox)
- Weights
- Snorkel equipment (can be rented without certification)
Scuba equipment that requires certification is only rented to certified divers.
- Proof of Certification Required
- Any renter using equipment for scuba diving must present a valid dive certification.
- One person may pick up multiple sets only if all users provide valid certification in advance, which must be verified and approved by staff.
- No scuba equipment will be rented without proper certification.
- The renter agrees to use equipment within the limits of their training and certification level.
- Equipment Check at Pickup
- The renter must check all equipment upon pickup for correct function and completeness.
- A staff member records the condition, after which the renter signs digitally or on paper (both are accepted).
- Any damage or malfunction reported after leaving the dive center is considered damage that occurred during use.
- Renter Responsibilities
During the rental period, the renter is fully responsible for:
- Proper and safe use of all equipment
- Using equipment according to training standards
- Stopping the dive immediately if any malfunction or unsafe feeling occurs
- Protecting equipment from misuse, impact, heat, sun, sand or neglect
- Never leaving equipment unattended in a truck bed, car, beach or public area
- Transporting equipment safely (equipment must not be transported loose in a bare truck bed)
All scuba equipment is used at the renter’s own risk.
- Tanks and Pressure Requirements
- The renter must check tank pressure upon pickup.
- Tanks must be returned with a minimum of 30 bar remaining.
- Low-pressure returns, empty returns or valve damage may incur additional fees.
- A second tank for the same diver may be rented without extra requirements.
- Gas fills are governed by the separate Gas Fills Policy.
- Pickup and Return Procedures
- Standard return time: end of the rental day, unless otherwise agreed.
- Late returns are charged as an additional rental day.
- Equipment may be picked up the evening before the activity at no extra cost, subject to availability.
- Early returns do not result in refunds.
- Cancellations and Refunds
7.1 Renter cancels their own dive / shore dive
No refund is issued for rented equipment.
7.2 Activity cancelled by Wanderlust Dive Center
If we cancel an activity for safety reasons (weather, current, visibility, medical emergency, equipment issues), the renter receives:
- Full refund of rental fees
- Except for already activated SSI digital materials (if applicable)
- Damage, Loss and Cleaning Fees
The renter is fully financially responsible for:
- Damage caused by improper use
- Water damage to electronics (always full replacement)
- Loss or theft of equipment
- Damage during transport
- Cleaning fees for heavily soiled or contaminated items

- Basic computer: USD 350

- Battery cap / o-ring damage: USD 35
- Water damage: full replacement (USD 350–550)
Regulators
- Complete set: USD 650
- Second stage / octopus: USD 150
- Hoses: USD 75 each
- SPG / console: USD 120
- Service due to improper use: USD 95
BCDs
- Full BCD: USD 450
- Bladder tear: USD 180
- Clips / straps: USD 20–45
- Inflator assembly: USD 75
Wetsuits
- Full replacement: USD 180
- Tears: USD 45
- Broken zipper: USD 35
Masks, Snorkels, Fins
- Mask: USD 45–75
- Snorkel: USD 20
- Fins: USD 55–85
- Straps: USD 10–15
Dive Lights
- Lost light: USD 90–130
- Water damage: full replacement
- Lost charging cable: USD 15
Tanks
- Lost tank: USD 300
- Damaged valve: USD 95
- Internal contamination (water ingress): USD 45–75
- Returned under 30 bar: USD 10 fee
- Neck/boot damage: USD 150–250
Weights
- Lost weight: USD 6 per kilo
- Weight system: USD 30
Cleaning Fees
- Heavy sand/mud contamination: USD 15
- Strong odor / special cleaning: USD 10
- Damage from unprotected truck-bed transport: USD 10–20
Administrative Fees
- Damage form + processing: USD 10
- Not reporting damage immediately: +10 percent of repair cost
- Right to Refuse Rental
Wanderlust Dive Center may refuse rental if:
- Safety risks are present
- Equipment was previously misused by the renter
- Certification cannot be verified
- There is insufficient confidence in safe handling
- Liability
The renter acknowledges and agrees that:
- Equipment is used entirely at their own risk
- Scuba diving carries inherent risks
- The renter is responsible for safe operation and decision-making
- The renter will stop the dive if equipment fails or feels unsafe
- Wanderlust Dive Center is not liable for damage resulting from improper use
The full Liability Waiver applies at all times.
- Signature
This policy is accepted through:
- Digital signature
- Paper signature
- Online booking acceptance
The policy becomes binding when equipment is picked up.
